Water Resource Control Engineer

The State Water Resources Control Board has an opening for a Water Resource Control Engineer position in the Bay-Delta and Special Projects Unit of the Bay-Delta and Hearings Branch.

The position is located at 1001 I Street, 14th floor, Sacramento, right in the heart of downtown with easy access to light rail and other forms of public transportation.

Duties:

This position offers a unique and challenging opportunity to function at the interface of environmental policy, science, engineering, and regulation through participation on multidisciplinary teams of State Water Board staff responsible for implementation and development of the Water Quality Control Plan for the San Francisco Bay/Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta Estuary (Bay-Delta Plan). The focus of this position and the Bay-Delta and Special Projects Unit will be updating and implementing the Bay Delta Plan including administration of the State Water Board’s water right permitting and petition programs for major water diversion and use projects in the Bay-Delta watershed, such as the State Water Project and Central Valley Water Project.
