Enterprise Risk and Audit Intern

Job Title: Enterprise Risk and Audit Intern

Department: Compliance
Location: Onsite (Atlanta, GA)
Duration: Summer 2026 Internship
Reports To: Director of Compliance 

 

Position Summary

The Enterprise Risk and Audit Intern will support the Compliance team to help develop, document, and improve compliance‑related processes. This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented student interested in how enterprise compliance programs are built and used in a real business environment. The intern will help turn everyday practices into clear, easy‑to‑follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that support consistency, audit readiness, and scalability. A key project includes helping develop an internal AI tool that centralizes these SOPs and allows employees to ask real‑time questions, strengthening knowledge sharing and informed decision‑making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Document current compliance processes by working with team members and turning information into clear procedures and simple process flows. 
  • Help identify gaps, inefficiencies, or inconsistencies in processes and share ideas for improvement. 
  • Create and maintain process maps, workflows, and documentation used for training, audits, and program growth. 
  • Assist with organizing compliance documentation, version control, and general administrative or project‑based support for compliance initiatives.

 

Qualifications

Required:

  • Junior, Senior or Grad student currently pursuing a degree in Business, Operations, Risk Management, Compliance, or a related field.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex activities into clear documentation.
  • Process‑oriented mindset with high attention to detail 
  • Strong organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

 

Preferred:

  • Interest in process improvement, operational excellence, or compliance programs.
  • Experience with process mapping, SOP writing, or documentation.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Visio, PowerPoint workflows (or similar diagramming tools), Copilot and / or other AI tools.
