The RN supports billing, reimbursement accuracy, payer policies, and medical necessity review.

Qualifications:

• Job qualifications & certifications:
  • Active RN license
  • Experience in billing, reimbursement, or utilization review
  • Knowledge of payer policies and CMS guidelines
  • Ideal for nurses experienced with payer interactions and billing processes.
• Skills:
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to interpret policies and coverage criteria
  • Analytical thinking

Key Responsibilities:

• Review medical records for medical necessity and coverage
• Support appeals and pre-authorization processes
• Interpret clinical data for revenue cycle teams
• Liaise with payers to resolve disputes
• Ensure documentation supports reimbursement

Physical Examination Responsibilities:

• None or minimal; primarily office-based
