Paraprofessional Position

  • What type of position is this? 
    • Classroom paraprofessional or an assigned 1:1 paraprofessional to a specific student.  We have varying opportunities available in a variety of age groups from 3-22 years old and within Moderate and/or Severe populations. 
  • Will this role help me gain experience?
    • While in this role, you can gain familiarity with multiple school and clinical program staff while in undergraduate or graduate studies.  This experience can help narrow your interest and perspective day to day in your field concentration or introduce you to new school and special needs related positions.  Positions you will collaborate with are moderate or severe special needs teachers, clinical social workers, school psychologists, Board Certified Behavior Analysts, Nursing, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Pathologists, Vision teachers, Orientation and Mobility providers, Music therapy, Adapted Physical Education, Physical Education, Art as well as custodial and food service personnel.
  • What is the salary? 
    • Starting paraprofessionals make $21.21 per hour. Competitive to fellow collaboratives and our member districts.

  • Do I meet the qualifications?
    • Qualifications: High School diploma. Experience working with students in a school setting with academic, behavioral and/or emotional challenges, learning or developmental disabilities or autism preferred. Must be able and willing to physically restrain and/or lift students.
  • Where is the position located, or is it remote?
    • We have three locations, Hingham, Hull and Randolph, Massachusetts.
