Position: Golf Instructor/Teaching Professional

Rate: $16.50/hour + 75% of lesson fee

Application Deadline: 3/4/2026

*Instructor determines private lesson rate, group lesson rates are as follows:

30 minute lesson: $50

60 minute lesson: $100

*Additional hours available as Manager-On-Duty ($17.50/hour)- see summary below.

Golf Instructor: Foothills has an opportunity for an experienced Golf Instructor/Teaching Professional.  This position provides professional golf instruction in clinic, class, individual lesson, and junior camp formats. Candidates must employ an understanding of how students learn to dynamically apply information specific to students’ needs. They must also work directly with other instructional staff, Head Professional, maintenance staff, driving range personnel, and other District employees as required.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Teach golf lessons at all levels from juniors to established players.
  • Teach private and group lessons.
  • Assist with scheduling and coordinating lessons.

As the Manager on Duty (MOD) at Foothills Golf Course, you will be an integral part of creating a positive memorable experience for our patrons. This position is responsible for assisting with facility operations at the Golf Course. In addition to performing on-going customer service duties, this position provides supervision and leadership. Responsible for administering and enforcing rules and policies. The position effectively handles a variety of customer situations and is responsible for fostering superior customer and employee relations.

MOD Job Responsibilities:

  • Assists in scheduling tee times, golf cart staging and starters.
  • Responsible for checking in and display of pro-shop merchandise, appearance of pro-shop and sales.
  • Responsible for operation of Point of Sales system.

Required Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in the golf profession required. 
  • Must be a member in the PGA or LPGA of America.
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years experience including teaching, club fitting, and promoting with a recognized golf instructional program, school, or academy.
  • Ability to teach golf lessons from juniors to established players.
  • Ability to teach private and group lessons.
