Position Summary

We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented part-time HR Associate to support the day-to-day human resources operations of our growing team. This role assists with recruiting, onboarding, employee record management, benefits coordination, compliance tracking, and general HR administrative functions. The HR Associate serves as a key point of contact for employee inquiries and helps ensure HR processes are executed accurately, consistently, and in alignment with company standards. This position plays an important role in maintaining strong internal systems and supporting a positive, well-organized workplace environment.

Compensation & Benefits  

House of Holmes offers a competitive compensation package designed to support our team both professionally and personally. This position includes a salary range of $19.75-$22.75 per hour, depending on experience, along with access to medical, dental, and vision benefits. Fill-time team members also receive 40 hours of paid time off (PTO) and 40 hours of paid sick time each year. In addition, we are developing a performance-based bonus incentive program to reward employee productivity, efficiency, and contributions to team success. Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Hiring Support

  • Support recruiting activities by posting open roles, coordinating interviews, communicating with candidates, and managing follow-ups.
  • Maintain organized hiring records and assist with offer paperwork and onboarding packet preparation.

Onboarding & Employee Documentation

  • Process new hire paperwork, maintain confidential employee records, and track start dates, role changes, and documentation compliance.
  • Ensure all onboarding steps are completed accurately and on time before employees begin production work.

Employee Support & Communication

  • Assist employees with basic workplace needs, forms, and benefit navigation.
  • Support a respectful, professional workplace culture through clear communication.

Benefits & Time-Off Tracking

  • Assist with benefits enrollment, eligibility changes, and employee documentation.
  • Track PTO and sick time accrual usage and ensure records remain accurate.
  • Support annual benefits updates and employee communications as needed.

Compliance & Policy Administration

  • Support compliance with Arizona and federal labor requirements by maintaining training records, certifications, and required workplace postings.
  • Assist with policy documentation, handbook acknowledgments, audits, and ensuring HR processes align with House of Holmes SOP standards.

Payroll & Administrative Coordination

  • Coordinate payroll-related inputs such as time-off submissions and employee status changes.
  • Communicate HR updates to Accounting and leadership as needed.

ERP Updates & Record Accuracy (Odoo)

  • Update employee records, onboarding tasks, and HR workflows in Odoo in real time.
  • Maintain accurate tracking of hiring progress, documentation completion, and role assignments. Ensure HR data is current, traceable, and aligned across departments.

Culture & Team Engagement Support

  • Assist with employee recognition, internal communication, and morale initiatives.
  • Support light event coordination and culture-building efforts as assigned.
  • Reinforce House of Holmes values of accountability, kindness, and professionalism.

Qualifications:

  • 1–2 years of experience in human resources or administrative support (HR experience preferred).
  • Strong communication skills and a high level of professionalism.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and sound judgment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace.

Preferred Skills:

  • HR certification or coursework (e.g. SHRM-CP, PHR, HR certificates)
  • Exposure to HRIS/payroll systems or recruiting platforms

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/trade coursework preferred.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • HR coursework, certifications, or continued training (SHRM, PHR, HR certificate programs) are a plus but not required for the assistant level.
